soar is to ascend to a level higher than usual, to glide to new
heights. The arts are a way for children, and adults, to each
soar to new heights of self-expression.
Founded
in 2005, SOAR Productions had a vision to bring dramatic productions to
new heights in the community by bringing it back into the community in
a new way.
Each
performance with SOAR Productions is more than just a dramatic work by
actors on a stage. Whether a musical or a classic Shakespearian
play, a favorite comedy or an interpretation of Broadway performance,
SOAR Productions provides an opportunity for all aspects of creativity
to be brought together to share a unique performance for the audience
as well as for all those involved in its production.

From
a theatrical perspective, there are six elements necessary for theatre:
Idea, Character, Language, Music, Plot, and Spectacle. From
a production perspective, SOAR Productions brings together artists,
technicians, crafters, and volunteers at many levels to combine their
individual talents in a way that the final production is more than a
collection of ideas, characters, language, and music. Whether it
is the mural backdrop in XXX or the costumes in XXX, the paintings hung
on the wall in XXX or the jewelry worn in XXX, the music performed in
XXX or the make-up and hair styles in XXX, each production is an
assortment of individual skills that combined bring each performance to
a new level of enjoyment for those who come and share.
